What a great morning we had with the chirpy, wise cracking Rob . His knowledge of the local area and advice was impressive as well as his history lesson on the Spanish civil war! Fascinating stuff and the bike ride was good too! Myself, my husband and two daughters aged 14 and 11, all had great fun in the bikes. The weather was perfect, the pick up from the Golden Port hotel, bang on time and off we set with a few hours on an uphill drive up through the mountains. Then a great downhill all the way cycle past olive groves, grape vines, gorgeous wee villages and an eye catching view certainly made our holiday that but more, authentic and fun. Rip roaring company thrown in for good measure too!

If you only do one thing in Salou, you need to make it this. We did the half day one & it was amazing. You get picked up at your hotel then taken to a practice area where you get allocated a bike & helmet. Then you're taken off up into the hills to get started. They guys who run this are just fantastic - very funny & so enthusiatic about what they do and their local knowledge is second to none. I don't know how they do it!
We were a bit aprehensive as we're not experienced cyclists & weren't sure what to expect but we didn't need to worry. They guys' number one priority is safety. Such an amazing day out, I can't praise it highly enough.

What a day to remember with the Salou Downhill Bikes crew. My team comprised of one adult and my two boys aged 9 and 10, we thoroughly enjoyed the half day tour. I was skeptical as I thought it was risky for children, but I was reassured after going through the pre talk. The pre talk covers all safety features, and possible problems you may come across when cycling. Their knowledge of the area and history is really good. The whole experience is amazing and its suitable for children as well. The view around the mountains, church and vineyards, train line, terrain is just breath taking. Team Bedford - see you SOON Visited October 2016

My husband saw this on list of things to do in Salou. Have to say I was not as eager as him as had not cycled for 35 years and only did a bit then. We were picked up one wet Friday morning and had a safety session, allocated a bike and helmet and had a ride around so that the guys could see our levels of cycling. we went up the mountain but the rain was so bad they decided we could not go out that morning. They thought we could go out in the afternoon but the weather had other ideas. They rearranged for Saturday morning and the weather was glorious. I am so glad I did this, it was fantastic. I was at the back, shepherded by my patient husband and I glided down that mountain like a pro - well a bit wobbly if I am honest - but it was brilliant. They said anyone can do it and they were right. The mantra was "squeeze and release" and that is all you have to do. There is a bit of uphill cycling but it really is only a bit.. Rob and Dave were fab. Funny, encouraging and knowledgeable too. Thanks for the history lesson Rob. There is an option to buy a memory stick with some photos of the scenery and photos of everyone on the ride. Ours was worth it as I did not see much more than the tarmac but still enjoyed it. Thanks for a great day guys and thanks for my medal too

Fun and friendly team, great to see a group of guy's passionate about what they do and wanting to give a great experience to all who wish to try something a little different than lounging on a sun bed. Professional outfit full of facts, culture and even some local produce from the Catalonia region. From the very start Rob and his team were hysterical with their unique brand and sense of humour. It was a pleasure and a must do. Rob you are a legend. Many thanks!
