My husband saw this on list of things to do in Salou. Have to say I was not as eager as him as had not cycled for 35 years and only did a bit then. We were picked up one wet Friday morning and had a safety session, allocated a bike and helmet and had a ride around so that the guys could see our levels of cycling. we went up the mountain but the rain was so bad they decided we could not go out that morning. They thought we could go out in the afternoon but the weather had other ideas. They rearranged for Saturday morning and the weather was glorious. I am so glad I did this, it was fantastic. I was at the back, shepherded by my patient husband and I glided down that mountain like a pro - well a bit wobbly if I am honest - but it was brilliant. They said anyone can do it and they were right. The mantra was "squeeze and release" and that is all you have to do. There is a bit of uphill cycling but it really is only a bit.. Rob and Dave were fab. Funny, encouraging and knowledgeable too. Thanks for the history lesson Rob. There is an option to buy a memory stick with some photos of the scenery and photos of everyone on the ride. Ours was worth it as I did not see much more than the tarmac but still enjoyed it. Thanks for a great day guys and thanks for my medal too

Fun and friendly team, great to see a group of guy's passionate about what they do and wanting to give a great experience to all who wish to try something a little different than lounging on a sun bed. Professional outfit full of facts, culture and even some local produce from the Catalonia region. From the very start Rob and his team were hysterical with their unique brand and sense of humour. It was a pleasure and a must do. Rob you are a legend. Many thanks!

Loved it! Well organised, spectacular scenery and hosts were absolutely tremendous.

Just returned from a morning with the downhill bike tour. Staff couldn't have been friendlier and better at putting us at ease with our 15-month-old on a bike (it was her first time and she LOVED it!). Got to see beautiful scenery and this was a great way to escape the usual 'resort humdrum' for a while. Would highly recommend to anyone of any age or family type visiting Salou

A super trip into the hills on bike but with hardly any effort. Really enjoyed our downhill gliding with lovely scenery and next to no cars. A support vehicle in front and behind our small convoy and good instructions before each section made us feel at ease even without much recent bike time. Our two instructors/guides/comedy duo made our time with them both instructive and good fun. Highly recommended. We may well take a second trip later this week, yes we enjoyed it that much!

We went on the half day trip. Picked by promptly by a very funny guide. Didn't stop laughing from the minuet we got on the mini bus.
After a quick three lap safety ride to get used to the bikes we were off to the mountains. The safety talk was excellent.
The general knowledge about the local area was brilliant, very informative.
We all had a brilliant morning and would really recommend this trip to anyone, even if you've not been on a bike in a while. They set the pace to what is best for you.
Also the UBS wrist band with all the photos of the day is definitely worth buying as the last thing on your mind is taking photos yourself.
All in all thoroughly recommend day out.
Thanks guys,

A really fab day out with top customer service. Phil, our pick up driver actually drove up from pick up point to hotel to save us the walk! He was then packed full of interesting facts about Catalonia.

When we arrived at the top of the mountain we were greeted and issued with bikes. The team led by Rob made sure the bikes were right for each person and safety briefings were high on the agenda and taken very seriously. I would advise you to take some of them fake moustaches with you as Rob the team leader has a real corker of a tash and a sense of humour to match!

The 'glide' down the mountain was great. We had a lead car to follow, set off in small family / team groups with a support vehicle at the back containing spare bikes etc.

At the end of the ride we did the wine tour, short but facinating, recomend it. Then it was a drink in the small village square cafe which was very good value, before being dropped back at the hotel.

Fab day, well organised, safety was paramount and we will defo do it again should we go back to Salou

Me and my girlfriend just got back from doing this whilst on holiday. We were able to see some beautiful areas that we wouldn't have seen otherwise! Lovely riding downhill with minimal effort and the breeze to cool you down. The staff are great, can't remember his name but the Arsenal supporter was brilliant. Would recommend to anyone.

Ok, so having booked this, the thought of having to cycle 45km after not having been on a bike for 30 years was a bit daunting. But it was fine (once I remembered how to balance) - pretty much all down hill with just a few "challenging flat bits" which we all managed to cycle up, and through stunning countryside. A great contrast to a day in Salou, a chance to be active, and have fun with the family. My 15 year old son would do it again tomorrow, our 11 year old is very proud to have cycled all the way and I would do it again also if only my knees weren't feeling so stiff! Excellent guides, lovely villages to visit and delicious lunch at the end of it. One of the best and most memorable excursions I have had on a holiday - highly recommended

We did this as a family outing, with three generations ranging from 7 1/2 years old up to 68 years old.
The tour reps (Dave and Rob) were fantastic, explaining everything along the way, in a funny way too.
I am an accomplished bike rider who does over 2000 miles a year so took it all in my stride, but most of the party were not. They did, however, cope really well and loved the experience.

We had two kids on tag-alongs which worked well.
We would have loved to do the whole day trip, but the youngest two were under the minimum age limit, definitely next time.

Only criticism - the rides were badged as 7km and 15km long, but I have tracked them via GPS and they come out at 5.3km and 11.8km long.
